Opening of the Exhibition Small Works in a Big Place

 We traveled to Castlemaine last friday for the opening of the exhibition held in the waiting room of an old but still working Railway station. The postcard sized works were exhibited behind glass framed cases as large as door frames and were of a great variety from 120  artists from Regional Victoria. There were artists, politicians, and guests with lots of speeches and plenty of wonderful culinary creations to eat.

Painting at Eurambeen in November 2018

Eurambeen was a great success, lots of people to talk to and a successful days work painting live on the saturday. A potters shed caught my eye. I painted two small studies then a larger canvas which was auctioned on the Sunday and the owner of the Historic Home and Gardens bought it. He told me he had enjoyed watching it develop from nothing to the finished painting and was amazed at how many varieties of green I could create.
